Tour Ria Formosa Natural Park
Departure from our kiosk in Olhão, Jardim Patrão Joaquim Lopes, we head out to the fishing harbor through the industrial area.
Next we cycle to Ria Formosa Natural Park where with a guide you can observe the fauna and flora. In this Park we can find many bird species, it is used as a resting area for migratory birds. Perfect nesting spot for birds arriving in spring, or the birds make the Ria Formosa their permanent habitat. Visit to the tide mill, all restored and with a fantastic panoramic view of the barrier islands of Olhão. Afterwards we visit the Chalet Dr. João Lucio built in 1916 and now totally restored. The house has four entries distributed by the cardinal points. This Chalet has beautiful architecture and you will fall in love with the landscape. After visiting the inside and outside in detail we return to our kiosk.

This project was born with the partnership of Domitur as a Destination Managment Company, Birdland as Birwatching specialist tour guide and the historical Aldeia da Pedralva a rural village that overcame from the ruins and became a tourism project by rebuilding more than 30 houses.
The intention of this partnership was to develop a new project that can offer birdwatching tours on the best moments of the year for individuals or group tourists. Anyone from anypart of the world can book these tours. Free of hassles and complicated processes for booking.
